Harold (Hal) Norris Taylor
September 2, 1955 ~ July 20, 2021 (age 65)
Hal Taylor, age 65, passed from this life on July 20, 2021 from heart failure while on a day hike in the Colorado Rockies he loved. Hal was born September 2, 1955 in Denver, Colorado as the third child to Norman and Ruth Taylor. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1973, completed an Associate’s degree in science, and near completion of a BA in philosophy. Hal loved the outdoors and set new goals for himself after earning his Eagle Scout Award, including the XIII Boy Scout World Jamboree in Japan in 1971; climbing all 54 of the 14er’s in Colorado; hiking the Continental Divide in Colorado, Idaho, and Montana; and biking with a group from Washington State to Maine. Hal owned and operated a landscape maintenance business which spanned four decades. He greatly enjoyed the people in his business and volunteer work. Hal’s sense of humor and his contagious laugh will be missed, along with his passion for trees, plants, and the Colorado Rocky Mountains. How fitting it is for his final moments to be on one of those mountains!
