James William Kugeler passed away August 22, 2021, after a valiant struggle with cancer.
“Jim” Kugeler was certainly blessed with a fulfilling life. He was born on March 15,1944 in Denver, Colorado from the union of Hermann C. Kugeler and June F. Joyce. He graduated with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Denver. Jim leaves behind his wife Bobbie Kugeler after 50 years of marriage, and a brother Fredrick J. Kugeler. He was preceded in death by his brother Hermann C. Kugeler.
He worked in the Hospitality Industry for over 20 years, followed by a very successful career with his wife in the Direct Marketing Industry. Together, they created a team of business associates all over the United States.
Jim enjoyed traveling, skiing, hiking, and biking, but his true passion was the enjoyment of fine food, accompanied by carefully selected fine wines. He was regarded by many as a wonderfully talented cook, and he started the Denver and Vail chapters of the Chaine Des Rotisseurs. He was the proud recipient of the highest Chaine award as a member of the Council de Honor.
A memorial service honoring Jim’s life will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 10:30 AM followed by a reception - both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO.
