Jennifer Behunin

July 8, 1978 — April 16, 2022

Jennifer Behunin was born July 8, 1978 to Tom and Denise Behunin in Arvada Colorado. She died unexpectedly on April 16, 2022.  She is survived by her daughter Lilliana Colleen Hahn; her grandmothers Mary Behunin and Coleen Olsen; her mother Denise Behunin; 3 siblings Tiffany (Shane) Day, Calvin (Carie) Behunin, Steven Behunin; Nephew Micah Behunin and Nieces Roselyn Behunin, Kalyssa, Kambrie, Koralyn, and Kinnley Day.  Jenn was preceded in death by her father-Tom Behunin, Grandfathers-Jerry Olsen and Delon Behunin

Jenn grew up in Arvada.  She attended Tennyson Knolls Elementary, Hodgkins Middle School, Oberon Junior High, and Westminster High School.  She graduated from Westminster High School in 1996.  From a young age, Jennifer loved the Wizard of Oz and prided herself in the collection of ornaments, snow globes, and figurines based on the movie.  Jennifer enjoyed the outdoors.  She loved family gatherings, camping, fishing and playing soccer from a very early age.  She was an amazing soccer player and played competitively as well as at the Varsity level.  She was tough and fast and loved every minute of it.  She injured her knee during high school which was a devastating blow.  She still powered through to recover and kept playing; but this event was a start to some of the life-long struggles she would end up facing.

After high school Jenn worked at Carrabba's as a host and Red Robin as a server.  She was very charismatic and funny so working in these settings fit her personality well.  She moved on to work several years with the family business, Tom Behunin Construction.  In 2012, she gave birth to Lilliana.  She loved Lilliana dearly.  She was determined to make her way for herself and her daughter.  She became very committed to starting her own business with Thirty-One gifts as "The Bag Hag."  She loved selling these bags and the community she built with her teammates.  She was wonderful at marketing and very creative.  She drew people to herself easily and had good success with it.

Through all the struggles she had, her smile and laugh were contagious.  She was funny and held big feelings about various topics.  She was determined in her thinking and was passionate in whatever she was involved with.  She loved her daughter, family, and friends deeply...and you always knew where you stood with her.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
