Joan Brooks

Joan A. Brooks, 90, of Aurora passed away on July 20, 2022 at Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge. Born on February 27, 1932 in Illinois, she was the daughter of James J. and Loretta M. (Demeyer) Murphy. Joan married Robert E. Brooks on January 23, 1954. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years in May 2018.

Joan was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed sewing, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her children, Roberta, Karen and son-in-law Rick, Jerry and daughter-in-law Gina, Larry and daughter-in-law Karen, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Joan’s Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 11:00am at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W. 80th Ave. Arvada, CO 80003. Her service will be live-streamed and can be accessed with the link below.
