Joan Grant

Joan Grant, 93, passed away peacefully in her home on November 22, 2022.  She is survived by her husband, Harry E. Grant Sr., to whom she was married for almost 73 years.  Joan was born in Denver, the eldest of 5 children born to Joseph and Ann Freilinger.  She was educated at St. Francis de Sales grade school and high school, and remained in contact with friends from school all her life.

Joan and Harry had 9 children:  Harry Jr. (Therese);  Cathy Wanstrath (Jim); Tom (Tricia); Barry (Crislyn); Marie Powell (Don); Brian (Ana); Vince; Maureen Davis (Chuck); and Ceci.  They also have 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Joan’s family was her calling.  We are fortunate to have had her guidance and love for so many years.

Joan will also be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.  Each was special to her.

Joan was an accomplished bridge player, volunteer at her church, and friend to many who will miss her cheerful and generous way.

Services will be Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 So. Quebec St., Centennial.  Rosary will be at 10:15 a.m., Mass at 11:00 a.m.
