Joshua West

Joshua West a Financial Advisor and longtime resident of Westminster, Colorado passed away unexpectedly at home on November 28, 2022, at the young age of 51.

Josh is survived by his wife of 22 years Kasandra and their children Elizabeth and Dalton West and Donald Hernandez. His parents Robert and Louise West. His brothers Noah (Vida) West and Zack (Kristine) West and his nephew and nieces Sydney, Addie, Kerry and Maggie West.

Josh was born in Easton, Pennsylvania on April 22, 1971 to Robert and Louise West. He graduated from North High School in Denver, Colorado in 1989. During his high school years he did one year of track, lettered one year in football, three years of swimming, was a member of the Science Olympiad, three years in all city orchestra. He also was a member of the Fellowship of Christian athletes. Josh volunteered for Daddy Bruce’s Thanksgiving dinner, was a driver for Meals on Wheels and the president of the church youth group. He received an honorable achievement by being named outstanding Black youth in Denver for the year of 1988. He married the love of his life Kasandra on March 25, 2000.

Josh lived life with simple pleasures, spending time with family and friends, watching movies and his favorite football team the Denver Broncos. Josh will always be well known for all his great dance moves on the dance floor and his enjoyment for scratch tickets.

Above all he was a devoted family man who worked hard for his family and would help out anyone no matter what the situation was. He was absolutely a gentle soul and had a smile that would light up a room. Josh will be sorely missed by all those here on earth.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Berkeley Community Church, 3701 West 50th Avenue, Denver, Colorado. Viewing will be held from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Services will begin at 1:00pm and a reception will follow.
