Karl Denton

Lewis Karl Denton, age 89, passed on September 26, 2021, in Denver, CO.

Karl was preceded by his mother, Rose Denton (Ford). He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gisele Ann Denton, their two sons Lewis and Lance Denton, and two granddaughters Katherine Pomerantz and Alexandra Peek.

After serving in the army, Karl moved to Colorado where he earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Denver and became a Certified Public Accountant. He successfully ran his own business until retirement.

Karl was a member of many community organizations including the Christian Science church, the Optimist Club, and the Sunflower Grange 192. He was an avid cribbage and bridge player, enjoyed golf, and was a lover of baseball and football, holding season tickets to both the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos throughout his lifetime.

The family will be delaying a memorial for him until later this year. Details will be provided when available. His final resting place will be next to his mother in his hometown of Amarillo, TX.
