Kathleen Hall of Aurora, a Commercial Real Estate Agent and mother of two daughters, died April 5th, she was 78 years old. Kathleen was born in Denver, CO. She attended Machebeuf High School and Colorado State University.
She is survived by her brother, Michael D. Nevin and sister-in-law, Mary Marlene Nevin; sister Sheila Nevin and husband Mike Crawford; two daughters, Kelly Mansfield and husband Lance McClure and Angela Swanson and husband Mike Swanson; stepchildren, Brian Hall and wife Katrina Hall, Stephanie Lauren, Ann Hall; her first husband, Michael P. Mansfield. Her second husband of 24 years, Billy H. Hall, proceeded her in death, April 15, 2020. Kathleen was fortunate to have six treasured grandchildren, Emily McClure, Dana Swanson, Sam Swanson, Iris McClure, Benjamin Swanson, and Jacob Swanson; several nieces and nephews as well as five step grandchildren, spanning the ages from 30 to 13 years old.
From homemaking to making homes, Kathleen managed the family business and commercial assets of Nevin Homes and Shamrock Realty for over 35 years, after a successful career starting in residential real estate with Grub & Ellis. She was the first woman to sit on the board of directors for the United Bank of Buckingham Square and she was an active member of the Aurora Economic Development Council. In January of 1998, she was recognized in The Denver Magazine, as one of the top 50 Dynamite Denverites.
She was an avid traveler, exploring the globe from Europe, to Israel, to China, New Zealand, and Peru, among many other trips. She was also very active and adventurous, participating in the many great activities Colorado has to offer such as Skiing Golfing, Mountain Biking, Rafting, and Hiking.
Throughout her life, Kathleen nurtured the friendships she made over the years, even dating back to pre-school. She created lifelong memories with her family, her friends from high school, Germany, and Florida, where they enjoyed a second home in Fort Myers, FL.
A service will be held Thursday, April 21st at 3:00 pm at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at the Swanson family home after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kathleen's name to her favorite charity, St. Jude's (how she loved all children) or to the Alzheimer's Association for its support and research.
