Schooling:  Brighton High School.  At 38 years old, he attended Parks Community College.

Leroy met his wife Janie Torres in 1961 in Brighton Colorado.  He married Janie on May 29, 1964.

Leroy enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, immediate family members and long time childhood friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Tapia and Barbara Trujillo.  His grandchildren, Ivana Manzanares, Marcus Tapia, Vincent Trujillo and Xavier Trujillo.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Janie Romero, his parents Desiderio and Juanita Romero, and brother Daniel Romero.
