Marcelo Medicinebird “Celo” Reta, III, 38 years old, passed away in his sleep in Crystal River, Florida on August 18, 2021.
Celo was born in 1983 at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. He lived most of his life in Colorado, living the last few years in Crystal River.
Celo is survived by his partner Chareece Brigman and their daughter, Isabella Nicole; his father, Marcelo Reta, Jr. and wife Susan Curtis. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis K. Reta. Celo is also survived by sister, Roxann Mitta and husband Paskasio Mitta, his brother, John Carlos Reta and wife Natosha Tisdell Reta, and his brother Pete Reta. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and numerous extended family members.
Celo loved to cook especially Mexican dishes. He was an avid Bronco fan and a movie aficionado. Celo was an amazing father! His daughter, Bella was his whole world and she is a Daddy’s Girl. Celo will be deeply missed by his daughter, father, brother, sister, partner and all their and his extended families. We love you.
A Visitation and Funeral Service will be held to honor Celo at Horan and McConaty Funeral Chapel at 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014 on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 beginning at 10 o'clock in the morning, a reception will follow.
