Mary Elois Robbins, age 89, died at The Medical Center of Aurora, Aurora, CO, on March 24, 2021.
Born August 19, 1931, in Cordova, Alabama, she lived in Birmingham, AL; Japan; Waco, TX; Toul Rosieres, France; Hampton, VA; Austin, TX; Oak Creek, CO. Mary worked as a registered nurse for many years, including in the Air Force for four years, in civilian hospitals. She received her nursing degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She also worked as a real estate agent in Austin, TX. Mary was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic parish.
Mary loved to read books and the daily newspaper. Over the years, she enjoyed knitting, creating stained glass art and volunteering at the Medical Center of Aurora ER. Her family and her faith were everything to her.
Survivors include husband, Earl C. Robbins, Aurora, CO; daughter, Shannon Robbins (Monahan), Bailey, CO; daughter, Jill Robbins, Aurora, CO. Grandchildren: Ryan Marker, Lindsay Marker, Justin Pomeranz, Chelsea Pomeranz, Danny Monahan, Molly Monahan, Katy Monahan.
Great-grandchildren: Kaili Marker, Ava Pomeranz, Hailey Marker.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Jimmie Lou Butts; her siblings - Charles Butts, Thelma Winsett, Kathy Thomas.
A funeral mass will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Aurora, CO, on April 8th, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation and rosary are the evening of the 8th at 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively, at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home at 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO. Burial is on April 9th at 10:15 a.m. at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome at the Queen of Peace funeral mass on April 8th and at visitation and the rosary at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th at Horan & McConaty.
