Raymond Des Rosiers, M.D.

Raymond J. Des Rosiers, M.D. age 86, passed away from natural causes on Monday, October 25, 2021, in his home at Morningstar Senior Living in Lone Tree, CO.  Devoted husband to Bonita F. DesRosiers of nearly 62 years before her passing in July.  Loving father to Alexis (Richard) Kasvin, Matthew (Lisa) DesRosiers, Dr. Paul (Colleen) DesRosiers, Charles (Jennifer) DesRosiers and Reine (Matthew) Erzinger.  Beloved Grandpa to Lauren, Nicole, Meghan, (mother Carol Neumann) Elizabeth, Charles Jr, Benjamin, and Haley.  Great Grandfather to Frances Rose and Ozzy Patrick, and brother to Rita Muller.  Affectionately known as Doc to many, but especially his devoted godson, Evan Lancaster.  Ray was an avid fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, his alma mater (class of ’56).  He went on to medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago (class of ‘60). He met Bonnie, a lab tech at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, while he was doing his residency there.  He later specialized in radiology and went on to head the X-Ray department at Norwegian American Hospital for 22 years.  He was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church in 1992 by then Cardinal Bernardin. Ray loved to golf in his younger years, and in recent years playing poker with his Morningstar buddies.  Ray and Bonnie enjoyed a long and unconditional love rooted in their strong faith in God.  Ray’s heart was broken in July when he lost Bonnie, and the family is taking comfort knowing they are together again eternally in paradise.   Services on Friday, November 12th at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 524 9th St, Wilmette, IL, 60091.  Visitation and prayers 10:00 AM, Mass 11:00 AM.
