Richard Fryar

Richard Fryar was born in Stratton, Nebraska on August 30, 1948. He passed peacefully on Tuesday July 25, 2017 surrounded by his wife, daughter, sister, and cousin. Rick is predeceased by his mom, Ann Fryar, and his father in law Forest Ellson. He is survived by his wife, Terri; daughter Marcie Miller; son in law, Nick Miller; grandchildren, Mason, Austin, Addison; father Harry Fryar; sisters, Teresa Laird (Rox), Kristie Becker (Jim); brothers, John Fryar, Msgr. Tom Fryar; mother in law, Barbara Ellson; brother-in-laws, Pastor Mike Ellson (Kristine), Mark Ellson (Karen); and many other relatives and loving friends. Rick and Terri would have been married for 47 years on August 1. He was a wonderful family man and his family meant the world to him. Rick would light up anytime his daughter and grandchildren would visit. He had a quick wit and knew no strangers. He loved spending time in the mountains and enjoyed fishing, even if he didn’t catch fish. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He is remembered by all who knew him as kind, caring, and dedicated to his family, friends, and work. He could always be found watching a baseball game or reading a book. He will be dearly missed and his memory will be forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 8817 South Broadway, Highlands Ranch, Colorado. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street, Centennial, Colorado.
