Richard Powell

Richard Dean Powell, 59, died at home on January 2, 2022 at 1:22 PM. The cause was cancer.

Born June 13, 1962 in Cass City, Michigan, he was raised in Owendale with his 6 brothers and 1 sister. He graduated from Central Michigan University and moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where he graduated with a Masters in Counseling and Family Studies from Colorado State University.

He pastored at Vineyard Christian Fellowships until he joined the staff at Colorado Community Church in 2011 as the Pastor of Spiritual Formation and Pastoral Care. His passion in life was serving people.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Terri, his children, John wife Gabrielle, Daniel & Julia, Shane, Caley & Ian, and Adam, his siblings, Lennie, Sandy, Dan, Morris, Pat, Roger, and Mike, and cousin Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Esther Powell.
