Sharon Ann Mercer Diehl

Sharon Ann Mercer Diehl, age 72, died at St. Josephs Hospital in Denver, Colorado on May 30, 2022.  She was born on Groundhogs Day, 1950 in Denver, Colorado to John Philip Mercer and Elizabeth Wade Woody Mercer.  Sharon graduated South High School in 1968.  She met her sweetheart and eternal companion, Michael Leroy Diehl, on a blind date November 6, 1967, and they were married December 21, 1968.  She received her certificate in Family History Research from Brigham Young University in 2015.

Sharon loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and loved learning, reading, drawing, painting, and photography. Indeed, she was a lifelong student.

She is survived by her Husband; her children, Stephanie Michelle Diehl and Christopher Michael Diehl; 7 grandchildren; as well as her siblings Kathy Ann Mercer Urquhart and Tim Lee Mercer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert Dale, Charles Wade Mercer, and John Philip Mercer Jr.

A viewing will be held at 9:00 am, prior to her Funeral Service that will take place on Thursday, June 9th, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6465 W. Jewel Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80232. The Funeral will be held at 10:00 am. A luncheon for family and friends will be provided following the service as we continue to celebrate and remember Sharon's life.

A private interment will be held at a later date at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
