Steven Bakke

Steven Douglas Bakke, age 68, passed away on September 14, 2021 after a final battle with cancer. After growing up in Aurora, Steve went on to graduate from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He spent the majority of his career in sales but his passion was with the church. He was deeply involved with Cherry Hills Community Church, where he met his wife, Mary.

Steve devoted over 20 years teaching the kids at CHCC the good news of Jesus Christ. He loved life, the outdoors, soccer, and the Denver Broncos.

He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Erika, mother Janet, siblings Judy and David. In addition, he leaves behind numerous friends and community members that will miss his sense of humor and compassion.

His funeral service will be Friday, September 24, 2021 at Seven Stones, a botanical gardens cemetery on Rampart Road in Littleton at 10am. Donations in his memory can be sent to Kidspoint at CHCC.
