William Owen Maxwell, age 77, died in Ocala, Florida on October 14, 2021. He was born on November 25, 1943. He graduated from Hillsborough high school in 1962 and went on to study collegiately at the University of Maryland. William enlisted in the United States Air Force and moved to Colorado where he met and married Mary Patricia Maxwell on October 29, 1966. He retired from the USAF on April 30, 1984 where he began the next chapter of his life. He retired as a Master Sergeant with multiple USAF commendations.
William was a true family person and a hero to his children, grandchildren and everyone who knew him. He was an avid Broncos and TB Bucs fan. He enjoyed watching sports. He especially enjoyed attending the sporting events featuring his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter Michelle Titera of Centennial, CO, his son Patrick Maxwell of Parker, CO, his son Sean Maxwell of Greer, SC, his daughter in-law Jenna Maxwell of Parker, CO, his daughter in-law Pamela Maxwell of Greer, SC, his brother Robert Ellis of Fort McCoy, FL, his brother Ray Ellis of Fort McCoy, FL, and his 4 grandchildren Cynthia Maxwell, Michael Titera, Payton Maxwell and Richie Maxwell. He is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and family. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Patricia Maxwell, his mother Evelyn Ellis and his brother Danny Ellis.
Burial service will take place on 11/3/21 at 12 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Celebration of life details will follow.
