William (Bill) Williams

June 2, 1937 — September 16, 2021

We are sad to inform you of the falling asleep in the Lord of William (Bill) Williams who died peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

Bill was born on June 2, 1937, in Grand Junction, Colorado to Tom and Helen Williams. He is survived by his wife Elaine (Papedo) Williams; sons Tom (Wendy) Williams and Rob (Jennifer) Williams; his brother Dan (Roberta) Williams and sister Becky (Brad) Brehmer; stepchildren JohnPaul Strate and Jamie (Sam) Armatas; grandchildren Madison, Jordan, Kacey Williams; Basil, Georgia, Sammie Armatas and Myra Strate. In addition to many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Bill was a general manager at American Tobacco for 38 years. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Catherine who served on the board. He was a member of AHEPA Chapter 145.

Bill was a loyal friend and devoted husband. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends more than anything especially over a good meal at one of his many favorite restaurants (including pork chops and eggs at Sam’s No. 3!).  He will be fondly remembered for his love of telling a good joke and his ability to make anyone laugh.

Trisagion and Funeral services will be held together on Wednesday, September 22 at 11:00 am. at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 5555 S. Yosemite Street, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Followed by luncheon at noon held in the St. Catherine Fellowship Hall

Burial service will be at 2:45pm at Fairmount Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church.
