Willie James McCampbel age 95 passed away peacefully on May 9, 2022 at home with his family in Parker, Colorado. He was an avid believer in Christ which was his foundation for living. Willie was born in Central Mill, Alabama to Theodore & Martha Mccampbell on February 28, 1927.
He was educated in public schools and is a graduate of Linden Academy in Linden, Alabama, May 1945. He obtained his Baccalaureate Degree in Agriculture from Tuskegee University in Alabama. He served his Country as a 1st Lieutenant during the Korean War. He married Erma Lee Mack of Birmingham, Alabama who he affectionately called “Doll”, and they started a family having two children. Although Willie was an Entrepreneur at heart, he retired from Safeway Grocery after 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Lee McCampbel, parents Theodore & Martha McCampbell, sister Ceola M. Roett, brother John Edd McCampbell, and two nieces Debra and Joyce.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his children, Cedric (Vickie) McCampbel, Edwin (Darlene) McCampbel, four grandchildren Damari (Rachel), Janari (Breanna), Darcen, and Alyssa Mccampbel, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
