Wilma (Jury-Wood) Kardaseski, 91 years young, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2022. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born in Lakin, Kansas, but lived most of her life in Englewood and Littleton Colorado. She was a graduate of Denver's historical South High School. She married George Kardaseski on December 24, 1950.
Wilma spent much of her life caring for her family as a full-time mother and wife, but she also worked for Dr. Michael Bograd, MD, worked in the school cafeteria, and became a long-time employee of K-Mart, from where she retired.
Wilma enjoyed her family and was happiest when her grandchildren visited or talked to her on the phone. She loved scrapbooking, crafting, and writing poetry. She was active with the local Creative Writers Club. Some of her poetry was published in The National Library of Poetry. She and George liked to travel and make many friends through USS Bennington Reunion group, of which they were active members.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband George M. Kardaseski; daughters Colette Fay & Eva Marie Kardaseski; grandson Timothy Albano.
She is survived by sons Martin Kardaseski, John Kardaseski, Michel Kardeseski; daughters Marcia (Bill) Albano, Karen (Larry) Brown, Robin (Jerome - deceased) Cawley, Kimberly (Bob) Conroy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Visitation Monday October 24, 2022, 10:30 am-5:00 pm.
